The general rental period is five months*: from September until the end of January for the first semester and from February until the end of June for the second semester. The majority of the landlords we work with don’t accept shorter reservation than five months, but the landlords who would agree on it, will charge an extra fee monthly to compensate it.
In normal circumstances we schedule visits. However, depending on the flexibility of the landlord and the current residents we may be able to offer a virtual viewing or a video of the flat or more photos, as well as a phone call with us to give you any information that you may require.
We do charge a reservation fee, which is a one-time service fee paid upon reservation of a room and is not refundable. This fee may vary according to the price of the room, starting from 50€. It allows us to personally verify all landlords, as well as every apartment/house that we offer, and give our personal support throughout the stay of the tenant.
Prices are solely and exclusively the responsibility of the landlords, so they are non-negotiable. There are, however, limited promotions that may or may not apply depending on the rental period and specific situations. Whenever there is this type of promotion, we will publish them on our social media and also inform you while offering said room.
Yes, you can. We have some properties that are set up specifically with this in mind. Generally, we recommend reserving the room with someone you already know well, as to avoid any potential mishaps. Please bear in mind that the average price of a shared room is €300 – €400 per person. Please bear in mind that in this case, depending on the period of stay, the Reservation Fee may surpass the usual max of 150€, as it refers to two tenants instead of one.
Due to privacy reasons, we cannot share the name or contact details of the landlord or the exact address of the apartment until a reservation has been made. As soon as we verify that the transferred amount is in our bank account, we will send both the information about each other: yours to the landlord and landlord’s to you. After that you two must get in touch in order to schedule the exact day and hour of the check-in.
Due to privacy reasons, we cannot disclose any information about the current tenants of the flat. We generally provide accommodation for Erasmus students, interns, or young professionals so rest assured you’ll live with other people like yourself.
This information varies according to each landlord meaning that they all have their own check-in rules. Some landlords may charge an extra fee, some others will not, depending on what time of the day or night you will arrive. We recommend getting in touch with the landlord after you make the payment or in case you already know your exact day and hour of your arrival, we can ask the landlord for you before you make the reservation.
Reservations may be cancelled up to 60 days prior to the “check-in” date with entitlement to be refunded 100% of the total amount paid, excluding any fees. Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the “check-in” date will be refunded for 50% of the total amount paid, excluding any fees. Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the “check-in” date are not entitled to any refund.
We have a variety of apartments located in different neighbourhoods of Lisbon. As Lisbon is not a big city compared to other European capitals, it is really easy to move around within public transportation (train, metro, buses, tram) and reach certain areas in only a few minutes. If your University is located in Alameda da Universidade for example, you can still reach the riverside of the city in around 30 minutes only. This means that you have a great flexibility regarding the location you prefer!Cais do Sodré, Bairro Alto, Baixa-Chiado and Santos are really popular among students who prefer to be located in the lively Erasmus party area, close to a variety of bars and restaurants. If however you prefer to be located in a calmer neighbourhood, we recommend areas such as Anjos, Areeiro, Alameda or Saldanha which are also extremely popular among students.
We act as the intermediator between students and landlords, thoroughly verifying all our flats before presenting them.
Our process involves communicating with the landlord, personally visiting the apartment, and capturing images for transparent representation. In contrast to others, every room, studio, and apartment in our database has undergone personal verification by our dedicated team.
