Ferry: One of the most iconic ways to travel between Almada and Lisbon is by taking the ferry across the Tagus River. The ferry connects Cais do Sodré in Lisbon with Cacilhas in Almada. This is not only a means of transportation but also offers scenic views of both cities. The frequency of ferries depends on the time of day, but they generally run regularly (Every 15, 20 or 30 minutes).

Metro: The Lisbon Metro system does not directly extend to Almada, but you can use the metro to get close to Almada by taking the metro’s Green Line to its southernmost station, Cais do Sodré. From there, you can transfer to the ferry as mentioned above.
